Toilet Paper Roll Frog
Hey there, so Echo and I were looking for something fun to do today when I ran across these cute frogs Here. It is such a fun craft to do with kids, My kids always love the crafts that are also toys.
- Toilet paper roll
- Glue (I used hot glue but for kids doing it alone they can use school glue)
- Staples or again hot glue for the bottom
- Googly eyes or paint for the eyes
- Crayons or something to color the bug
- Cardboard for the bug
- Construction paper for the legs
Gather your materials. Don’t mind our mess, this is where we do most of our messy projects.
Paint the outside green and the inside red.
Let dry. You can cut out 4 legs for each frog while you wait. I used construction paper but you can use cardboard and paint them also.
Glue on your legs and let that dry.
Tie a knot at both ends of your rope put one end in the bottom end of your frog.
Staple along the bottom to secure the knot.
Cut out 2 bug shapes and place your other knot in between them. Glue together and let dry.
Decorate your bug and add eyes to both.
Now it’s time for the fun part!
Echo loves it and has been trying for so long to get the bug in the frogs mouth. This is so great for hand eye coordination too.
She said “OK mom, this time I will get it”. She still didn’t get it that time but she was having fun trying.
What crafts do your children like to do?
