Space Saving Pallet Lego Table

So, I am loving all of these DIY Lego tables! Like Here and Here, but what happens when you just don’t have the room for a giant table? You think outside the table, that’s what. Yea, I know I’m being a cheese-ball but it’s late so… that’s what happens.

Wyatt got a bunch of these little blue Lego squares for Christmas last year and playing with them on the floor or table was just no fun because one would go that way while another one went the other way. A giant table, although cool, is just out of the question since we are oozing out of this house as it is. Remember when I made the Pallet Shelf last week and said that I picked up 3 mini pallets at Petsmart? Well this is number 2! The kids love it and we just had an awesome Lego building session tonight.

For this project you will need:

  • Pallet or wood if you want to build something yourself
  • Sandpaper or sander
  • Paint and primer
  • E6000 or another really strong glue
  • Lego squares
  • and lots of fun

Sand your wood.  Prime and paint, let dry.

Glue on your pieces *BUT* be sure to add Legos where the squares connect so that the spacing is perfect. If you put the Lego squares directly together you will not be able to build from square to square.

That is it! Throw out some Legos and let the fun begin (well don’t actually throw the Legos, you could put an eye out).

The best part of this project is that it hardly takes up any room. I can put it under a bed or in a closet and just bring it out to play.

Witness the very rare moment that my kids are actually playing together.

I hope you have enjoyed our space saving Lego table. Please let me know what you think in the comments below.
