Overnight Duct Tape Curls

If you have beautiful easily- managed curls then this tutorial is not for you and PS. I hate you (just kidding). I have naturally curly hair but it always seems to look like I stuck my finger in anelectrical socket, unless I use a ton of product and some form of heat. I have been seeing tutorials for no- heat curls and I wanted to try it out. I had 2 rolls of duct tape on hand so Echo and I gave it a try- she was more than happy to be the center of attention. These curls were easy to do and would be perfect for a easy back to school look.

What you will need to get started:

  • Duct Tape
  • Scissors
  • Comb, brush and hair clips

I love the fact that you can achieve beautiful curls without heat or products and for little to no money.

For this to work you need to:

Rip off a piece of duct tape about 10 inches long (I had to cut ours shorter but for long hair keep them at 10in).

Fold it in half so no sticky tape is showing ( you do not want tape pulling your hair).

Cut off any excess or sticky tape showing.

Repeat until you have 10-30 pieces.

Brush and part hair into however many sections you want (I did 15 for Echo).

Wrap each section of hair around the tape and then tie the tape in a single know around the hair.

Sleep in this overnight then wake up and take them out.

Watch the video below to see how we did it.

The finished look!
