Glass Rock Table Top
Hey Everyone! So I found this awesome table for free on the curb and I have been trying to find something to do with it. Echo and I decided to glue little glass stones to it and then cover it with Mod Podge. It is such a fun way to take something old and broken and give it a new purpose.
This is what I started with. It is definitely an interesting table, it looks like a tray with legs. When we took the rest of the broken mirror off we were left with a clean smooth surface to work on.
What you will need:
- Broken of unattractive table or other item
- Decorative glass rocks ( can be found at Walmart, Dollar Tree or any craft store)
- Hot glue and Hot glue gun
- Any style Mod Podge
Then arrange the stones in a random pattern or any pattern you would like and start gluing them on until all of the table top is covered.
After that pour Mod Podge all over the table to until everything is covered and let it dry. This can take up to a couple days depending how thick it is.
This same technique can be used for a lot of different things. Tables, trays, planters, wine bottles… The possibilities are endless.
I love how it turned out but now I’m not sure where to put it, so for now it is helping decorate our front porch.
