Fabric Paint Stamped Shirt

I am cheap, I am not afraid to admit it. I want my kids to look stylish but at the same time buying clothes for outrageous prices just baffles me. Especially because they are kids and will grow out if it before you can blink. So we get a plain t-shirt from the dollar store and Walmart to dress up ourselves. Don’t get me wrong, I do buy them cute clothes that are not homemade but I will not break the bank doing it.

Grab your:

  • Dollar store t-shirt
  • Foam stickers
  • Puffy paint
  • Q-tip or small paint brush
  • Foam sheet or piece of paper

Lets get started!

Stick 2 or 3 of the same foam stickers together and stick them to a piece of paper or foam. This will be your stamp.

Use your paint brush or Q-tip and paint only the sticker part of your stamp.

Lay your stamp on your shirt, pick it up gently and repeat. I had to apply more paint every time. This does take a little bit of time and patience but, isn’t it cute?

This idea can be applied to any fabric. I was thinking about doing a pair of sox tomorrow.

What a great idea I had never thought of using the kids foam stickers as a stamp. Pinned!
