Easy Sonogram Necklace
It is time to start thinking about Mother’s Day gifts. I mean, what better holiday is there? Moms are the best! I have been finding pendants with a clear attachable dome everywhere and we have put everything from scrapbook paper to pressed flowers in them, but I though it would be a great idea to use a sonogram photo or photo of a child for Mother’s Day. I have seen them for sale on ETSY and they are so cute, I thought we could try it ourselves (although, it is nice to purchase from a small business whenever you can).
- Necklace/ pendant/ clear dome
- Chain for necklace
- Sonogram picture
- E6000 Glue
- Computer/ scanner/ printer (optional)
Are you ready? This tutorial is so simple and will only take you a few minutes. Let’s get started!
Cut out your picture to the size of your pendant. I only used the face image in my pendant but if you wanted a full body image I would recommend scanning the image to your computer adjusting the size and printing it out. It is OK if your picture is cut a tiny bit smaller than your pendant, the dome will cover it up.
Next apply a thin even layer of E6000 to the back of your pendant and along the inside sides, lay your picture on and then the clear dome piece. Press and hold firmly or lay something heavy on top to hold it together until it dries. About an hour would be fine. Then add your chain and you are done. This would make the perfect Mother’s Day gift especially for a new or expecting mom. Enjoy and Happy Mother’s Day to all of you wonderful moms.
