Easy Silhouette Cameo Cover

I am so happy to announce that I have joined the vinyl craze. Brett bought me a Silhouette Cameo for Christmas ( I must have been a good girl this year).  I am in love with the machine, it really is so cool. I made this easy cover to keep it safe from dust and little fingers. IMG_0940[1] IMG_0942[1]

  • 2 Fat Quarters
  • Paper and pen to make a pattern
  • Sewing machine

One fat quarter will cover the cameo perfectly from front to back.

Take your piece of paper and make a pattern of the side of your machine and cut it out. Fold your fabric so that you will be cutting out 2 side pieces, trace and cut . I added an inch to the bottom of my side pattern so it would match up to the main piece better.  Then cut out your fabric.

Make sure that your side pieces are facing the right way since the Silhouette has a funny shape there will be a front and back to your cover. Put the right sides together, pin and sew.

I was in a little bit of a hurry sewing this so my zig-zag stitch is all over the place but we all get the point. Sew both sides. Trim up your ends and turn in twice to hide the raw edges and sew all around the bottom.

This cover is easy and takes little time and money to make.

Don’t forget to comment and share. I love feedback.
