Concrete Tube Snowman

So only 13 days until Christmas. Who’s excited? I know I am!

I love to decorate for the holidays. I had a few pieces of concrete tube left over from the Cat Hideout I made last week so I decided to make a snowman.

This project is very easy to do and takes little time and money.

Materials

  • Concrete tube ( found at Lowes for $7)
  • Hat ( I used one I purchased at walmart last year for our snowman tree $10)
  • Scrap fabric for the scarf
  • Buttons
  • Spray paint or acrylic paint
  • Cardboard for the nose
  • Hot glue

To start I used my acrylic paint to paint the whole tube white. Spray paint would work better and be faster but I didn’t have any on hand. I had to use two coats to cover the black writing on the tube.

I then painted on his face, you can do this any way you would like. My son is in the background saying “what in the world is that going to be”?

I used hot glue to secure the buttons and a red scrap piece of felt for the scarf.

Then I cut a triangle out of cardboard and painted it orange and hot glued it in place also.

And…. you’re done. It really is that simple to make cute holiday decorations.

I also made a nutcracker but… He didn’t turn out as cute, haha. We still let him stand next to the tree though.
