Christmas Countdown

Is it Christmas yet? Is it Christmas yet? Is it Christmas yet? That is all that I have been hearing from these wonderful little monsters of mine. So today I decided to make them something to count the days until Christmas. We do have a calendar but, of course that’s not cool enough.

  • Glue gun/ glue
  • Printer and paper or card stock
  • Fabric, ribbon, or burlap
  • Clothespins or decorative pins

I picked up these decorative pins at Michaels today for $1 per pack and everything else I had on hand. I had two tiny gift boxes and decided to use those and maybe put a piece of candy in them for the kids that day.

So to get started I took a piece of burlap and cut it to the size I wanted about 54 inches. Then I used green fabric and sewed them together.

It you are using ribbon or just burlap you can use hot glue and skip sewing altogether.

Next I used ribbon and sewed it to the top, again you can use hot glue here to bypass sewing.

I types out my numbers and printed them out. I cut them out and used hot glue to attach them to my clothespins.

I added a few buttons to some of the plain clothespins just to spice them up a bit. When finished with that all that’s left it to pin them on and hang it up.
