DIY Galaxy Pendant
The weather is getting cooler, so it’s time to put those outdoor crafts away- for now. What better way to spend my indoor craft time than making galaxy pendant necklaces?! I was so excited when I saw these adorable little vials on Oriental Trading, the possibilities are endless. These pendants would make the perfect gift, especially with Christmas right around the corner.
What you will need:
- Acrylic Paint
- Glow Paint (optional)
- Glitter (optional)
- Cotton Balls
- Mini Vial Pendants
- Containers to mix 3 colors
- Syringe or Medicine dropper
- e6000 glue or hot glue (Optional but recommended)
- And a Chain
Start by pulling small pieces of bottom off and put it in the bottom of the vial. You may need to use something like a paperclip to push it down.
Add a small amount of paint to the container and mix with water. If you are using glow in the dark paint you can add that too. I would use one part paint and 3 parts water. Mix this up.
Use a syringe or medicine dropper to suck up a small amount of paint.
Next, put the paint in the vial. Only use enough paint to soak your cotton. You can also add glitter now.
Then, repeat those steps with your next color of paint.
When you are finished make sure the top rim is dry and free of paint. Then put glue around the top of your vial and put your cork in.
My finished product.
Put it on a chain and show it off!!!
